5/24/2023 0 Comments Colters' Woman by Maya Banks![]() ![]() I'm usually a big fan of Maya Banks, this is my least favorite book of hers. blah blah blah I buy books under $10 and save my credits - but if it was a more expensive listen then I would have happily spent my credit as I love her books. Worth a credit? You know what I'm going to say. This should go under eRotica but it was romantic and emotionally touching at times too. Its full of M/M/M/F action as well as M/F or M/M/F action too (something for everyone) and right from chapter 1 there was "a tightening and a swelling" going on - so be warned. As their forefathers before them have done the three brothers all live in 1 cabin and share everything - including their woman. ![]() However, if your looking for a HOT HOT HOT emotional listen that also has suspense thrown in then look no further. If you're looking for a realistic plot - forget it (unless I'm seriously missing something) - 3 sexy hunky handsome brothers in a remote cabin in the wilderness stumble across an unconscious woman who turns out to be their soul mate. ![]() 5/24/2023 0 Comments Dan abnett horus heresy![]() ![]() Here’s a quick back-story and plot summary. All those in favour of a better future - of prosperity that is broadly shared, first class public services to be enjoyed by all, and a solution to the climate crisis - should read this book. Mission Economy injects the kind of vision, ambition and imagination so desperately missing from government today. The case for a new approach is overwhelming and Mariana Mazzucato's project is ambitious. This book asks- what if the same level of boldness - the boldness that set inspirational goals, took risks and explicitly recognized that this requires large spending but will be worthwhile in terms of long-term growth - was applied to the biggest problems of our time, climate change, disease and inequality, to name only a few? Mariana Mazzucato argues that applying innovation to societal goals and structuring government budgets more explicitly to the long-term, as the moon programme did, we can do government differently. ![]() required new forms of collaboration between the public sector (notably, NASA) and private companies.
